Joseph J. Long
Joseph Long was born in Pensacola Florida in 1964. His father was a career Navy man and he spent his youth living all over the Eastern United States at various cities the Navy sent his family. He moved to Louisiana in 1976, where he graduated from John Ehret High School in Marrero, Louisiana in 1982. He earned his Associate of Arts at Marion Military Institute, where he was named Distinguished Military Student and was commissioned in the United States Army as a Second Lieutenant. Joe completed his undergraduate studies at LS U, earning a B.A. in Political Science in 1986. From there, he served as an Infantry Officer in the United States Army until 1990, when he left the service and moved home to Louisiana.
Mr. Long earned his JD from the Paul Hebert Law Center at LSU in 1998 and immediately began to work for himself as a Solo Practitioner, focusing on Personal Injury and Criminal Defense. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Louisiana Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and admitted to practice in all districts of Federal Court in Louisiana.
